What’s for Breakfast?

13 Oct

You all know how it's important not to miss your breakfast, the most important meal of the day. I remember with nostalgia the time when I was a high-school student. We had so many obligations, every day learning, praxis, running,..and just a few hours of rest at night. Sometimes it happened that mother called me to come to eat and I didn't have time..really 🙂 One of our teachers of praxis used to check on us every morning we came to her to see if we had breakfast. She just looked at us and said "You ate!" "You didn't!" and she guessed well 🙂
Sometimes the lack of time or ideas makes us skip our breakfast. But then we eat much more for lunch than we should, and that's not good either.
This is how I usually make my breakfast:
In 200 ml of yogurt I put one grated apple, add a little honey, cinnamon, and some cereals like oats, rye,.. mix it all and it's ready.
I found that a typical breakfast in Vienna (Wiener Frühstück) includes pastry with butter and jam, coffee with milk or orange juice.
An American breakfast includes bacon and fried eggs, sometimes pancakes with maple syrup and a very popular are muffins.
French breakfast includes fruits, a warm croissant with supplements and coffee with cream.
Dear readers, friends, what do you like to have for breakfast?

this morning I had baked beans with ground beef 😉 but I love eggs, meat, toast, marmelade… but more practical is the french baguette with strong coffee & milk… or the oats as you suggested… I like with brown sugar or maple syrup and toasted pecans or walnuts. (leftover pizza is sometimes an option.) 😀 don't let me forget my favourite, smoked salmon, crackers, cheese…

I'd like to have phở (beef and noodle soup) but I don't usually have enough time to enjoy it – always get up late 😀
