The days of Serbian culture in Timişoara

18 Nov

The days of Serbian Culture in Timişoara were organized in November.
The grand opening of the event started with projection of the movie "Montevideo, taste of a dream". This movie is Serbia's nomination to join the foreign language Academy Award race for 2012.
The goal of this manifestation was to promote Serbian culture through the following activities: books fair, concerts, monodramas, art exhibition, photo exhibition, an exhibition dedicated to the writer Ivo Andrić,..

I went there one evening with my husband, it was nice to feel like a part of some group and to hear people around you speak your mother tongue, Serbian language  I guess that is in our human nature that tendency to belong to some group and yet keep our individuality.

It feels nice to hear your native language while living abroad. Being so far away I know I will appreciate it even more now….

I'm glad that you had such a lovely evening, you've said how there was some books fair, concerts, monodramas, art exhibition, photo exhibition, an exhibition dedicated to the writer Ivo Andrić, also that projection of the movie… Have you've seen all of this or only some parts? ps. You know I've finally started to read third part of the book "Vreme smrti" 🙂

Yes, but I'm not good with this kind of books I always end up sad cause of some bad things happening there and tons of bad decisions…The part when they was celebrating victory and I've knew from my history classes how their misery has just begun left some really strange feelings in my heart…
