Zlatibor in pictures

31 Aug

I have been thinking in which way to present Zlatibor to you, the mountain resort we visited this summer, and I decided to show it to you through the pictures. Hope that you can feel the atmosphere, there.

I like taking pictures of flowers. Our balcony was small but nicely arranged, with a table and two chairs and many flowers around. Just perfect to drink tea or coffee in the morning, or read, and enjoy the view.
Now to say something about houses and villas in Zlatibor. You can see many beautiful and quite uniquely designed houses, and also I saw many houses that look kitschy to me. But I think the bigger problem is that people keep building and destroying forests, which I think are the biggest treasure of the mountain. Here is one pretty house:
..and more flowers 🙂

I took this picture from quite a distance.
There is a school where you can learn to ride, or just take one ride or two 😀 with the instructor with you. They asked us if we want to try.. but I didn't try. A view from one of Zlatibor's peaks. Enchanting beauty.

Mira… I like the view of the horses from distance. It is similar to a flower in Indonesia. We name such flower, on the fourth picture KENIKIR. We can eat the leaves…the taste is sharp and special…

Previous studies have shown that kenikir leaves contain compounds that have high antioxidant power, with IC50 of about 70 mg / L (Lotulung et al, 2001). Antioxidants are compounds that can stimulate the process of apoptosis through the intrinsic (mitochondrial path). Pemacuan apoptosis is one way of inhibition of carcinogenesis. Free radical compounds can inhibit apoptosis through inhibition of the release of cytochrome c, which plays a role in activation of cytochrome c proteins were positive regulators of apoptosis. Antioxidant properties owned kenikir enabled the development of this plant as an agent kemopreventif.

i think Mira Darko is right you should've tried horse riding , but i think the house's design is some how strange , where is the verandas . Here in village all of the houses are surrounded with verandas
