International love

19 Aug

The video below is in Serbian so I will explain to you what is the story about. It's not a rare situation that many men who live in some mountain villages are facing the problem to find wives.. and some of them are going over the border in search for women to marry. In some documentaries I watched, they usually say it's because the girls left the villages in a search for something better, or should I say easier life in the cities.

This story is about a Serbian man and an Albanian woman who met, fell in love with each other and married. The news is kinda sensational and important since it appeared on TV. And why are the people surprised when they hear this kind of news, you may ask. It's because the relation between our two countries are tense.

Zoran (a Serb) went to Albania in a search for a wife, and after 3 days of searching he found her in some village near Skadar. The girl's name is Edmonda. It was love at first sight. They said there weren't any cultural and religious obstacle between them. And they said that love crashed all obstacles between them. For now they speak with an universal language of love, but they started to learn each other's language.

My opinion is that love doesn't know borders because it comes from the heart. The politics, religion, nationality,.. shouldn't interfere in the matter of love and friendship. What is your opinion about this subject?

@Aadil- I agree and I hope it will be soon 🙂 @Rania- it was strange to hear that the two people from the countries that unfortunately don't have good relations, got married, and they are different religions. Some people are surprised. I think they don't have any problems now :)@Jill- I hope it's true. Thank you Jill
