Now it's the time to spice up my blog with some Romanian taste 😉 I decided to make the Romanian traditional cookies called papanaşi, eng. papanashy, serb. папанаши. I ate the type of papanaşi that were fried and then covered with a sweet cream and confiture.
Ingredients: 250 g cheese, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of starch or flour, 2 tablespoon of semolina, vanilla, 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs, salt.
Mix the all ingredients together to make a homogeneous paste. From the paste you make little balls and roll them through the flour. Then you put them in the boiling water to boil for 10 minutes. Take them out. Then in the pan melt the cube of butter with the 2-3 tablespoons of sugar and the 2-3 tablespoons of bread crumbs and a bit of cinnamon. Then roll papanaşi through this mixture, and they are ready. You can serve them with jam.
